We will meet in front of Equator Coffee (across the street from Safeway) at the entrance to Fort Mason, where we’ll be able to get a celebratory beverage and snack after

the run. This week, we have a flat, fast course. We have a 10mi course and a 5.5mi course.

Full Course, 10mi
Take the pedestrian trail toward Aquatic Park and run through the pathway in Aquatic Park to Jefferson Street. Continue east on Jefferson Street and merge on to Embarcadero. Take Embarcadero and continue all the way to Oracle ballpark. Run around the ballpark and head south of 3rd Street bridge, then take the Bay Trail and continue on Terry Francois Blvd. Make a right at 16th Street, then another right at 3rd Street. This will be the turn around point. Continue back on 3rd Street and take Embarcadero through Aquatic Park back to the start.

Head north on Grant Ave. then take right on Francisco St. and take the stairs to continue on Francisco St. Turn right onto Montgomery St and continue onto Lombard St. Turn right onto Sansome St. Turn right toward Market St, then turn left onto 2nd St. Turn right onto Mission St, then turn right on Beale St. Turn right on Embarcadero St and make a loop around Oracle Park. Make a left on JFK Drive and continue on the pedestrian path through the Panhandle. Continue east on Fell St. then make a left on Divisadero St. Turn right on Clay, then make a left on Webster St. Turn right onto Broadway St. Turn left onto Van Ness Ave, then turn left on Laguna St to the finish.

We will start westward on Marina Blvd and continue onto Mason St. We take the side pedestrian trail to Girard Road, then make a right on Lincoln Blvd, then a left on Graham St. We continue on Arguello Blvd all the way to Pacific St. Make a left at Pacific St. then continue and make a left at Andy Goldsworthy’s Wood Vine trail. Continue onto Presidio Blvd, then make a right at Lombard St. Make a left at Lyon St., then a right at Francisco St., which will turn into Alhambra St. Turn right at Cerantes Blvd. then make a left at Fillmore St. Make a right at Beach St and continue to the finish.

Turn left at Illinois St. Keep right at Terry Francois Blvd. Continue along the Bay Trail, then take a right on 3rd St, and another right to go around Oracle Park. Continue along the Embarcadero. We begin by heading south on Minneapolis St. Make a left at Cesar Chavez St. and turn left at Illinois St. Make a right at 24th St to visit Warm Water Cove Park several blocks east. Then we make our way back north on Illinois St. and turn right on 22nd St. looping around to 20th Street and then head north to Crane Cove Park. Keep right onto Terry Francios Blvd and head to an out-and-back around Pier 50. Then run along Embarcadero around the Giants Ballpark, up past the Ferry Building and around the Exploratorium. This marks the turn around point and we had back along Embarcadero, around the ballpark and south on 3rd St. Make a right on 23rd St. and a left on Minneapolis St to the finish.

At Chain of Lake Dr., continue west on the pedestrian trail and make a left on 45th Ave. Continue south on 45th Ave to the finish.

Cayuga Park and Lakeview Lookout

Today’s run took us to new sites. Cayuga Park, tucked under the Bart tracks, features wood carvings depicting forest gods, animals and religious figures. Next time, we need to run along the Path of Hope and explore the rest of the park. Then, the route took us up to Lakeview Park Lookout where we could see the ocean. It was a gorgeous spring-like day and not at all windy.
