Join us for our first ever HFRC Thanksgiving Day run, 8:00 am Thursday, November 26 at the Botanical Gardens in Golden Gate Park!
We even have a 5K route planned out, we’ll make it a club race and a fun run! With everyone stuck at home and big Turkey day celebrations cancelled, we figured we could offer up something fun and festive to do on Thursday morning.
The map below shows the start and finish at the Conservatory, but it’s a perfect loop course, we can start/finish anywhere. So we selected the Botanical Gardens to start.

Come on out, friends and family welcome! Just let your guests know that we follow social distancing guidelines and everyone wears a mask.
We will hold our usual HFRC long run on Saturday, November 28, 8:00 am at Duboce Park.
Finally, mark your calendar for Saturday, December 5 for the club Christmas party. Unfortunately, we can’t hold our usual potluck party at my house in the Sunset this year. We will miss hosting the event, always lovely to see everyone.
This year, plan to meet at Spark Social, an outdoor gathering of food trucks in Mission Bay, off 4th Street, close to the UCSF campus and Chase Center. Spark has spacious outdoor seating with a roof in case of rain. No potluck this year, sorry! We’ll meet for a short run and then celebrate the year and the camaraderie of the club, all in a safe and appropriate manner. Seeing you all for Saturday runs has such a welcome respite in this upside down year!
