All six of the world’s major marathons are being run within six weeks of each other this year, probably a once-in-forever occurence.
Shalane Flanagan is on a quest to run ALL SIX of the major marathons in under 3:00 hours. Six sub-3:00 in six weeks this year. Crazy.
Today, she finished Boston in 2:40, and has already done sub-3:00 in Berlin, London and Chicago. Next up is Tokyo, which she is running virtually in Oregon next week, then New York on November 7.
What an accomplishment! Admirable, but alarming, all at the same time.
But you know what, if I could do it, I would.
Happy Monday, all!
