Join us for our weekly long run 8:00 am Saturday, June 4 at Java Beach, on the Great Highway.
Happy Memorial Day Weekend everyone. We are meeting from Java Beach for the month. For next week, with the interest in participating in the Crosstown Trail Birthday during National Trails Day weekend, we will have a two-part out-and-back to provide runners options to cut the run short to be rested for another round of running the following day.
Map My Run

Part One is about 6mi and starting from Java Beach, enter Golden Gate Park to JFK Drive, around Stow Lake and back through MLK to the finish.
Part Two is another 3.5mi and continues south from Great Highway to Sloat and back.
Total Combined Distance is 9.5mi
For the Crosstown Trail on Sunday, the route is in fact the Crosstown Trail, starting at the Southeast terminus of the Trail at Candlestick Point. The organizers strongly suggest getting a ride (friend, Uber/Lyft, taxi) to the start as it is not a sound place to leave a car for the day. The trail is 17 miles long, but feel free to run any portion of it during the day. The link to the event is here, they ask if you can register at Eventbrite, although I do not believe registration is mandatory. It is a public trail, after all.

I will be away this weekend, see you all next week!
