Join us for our weekly long run 8:00 am Saturday, May 15 at 22nd and Minnesota in Dogpatch. We meet in a small urban park next to Piccino restaurant.
This week, we’ll be crisscrossing around the southeast portion of the City. We’re going to revisit McLaren Park, then down Mission to the Bernal Cut Path, up to Bernal Heights Park, zigzagging across US101, then returning on Cesar Chavez and back to the start.
Total distance will be 9.77mi (15.7km)

For those looking for a shorter mileage, we’ll have the ability to turn around at the appropriate point to get the distance we desire. For those joining us to walk, we will start at the same location and aim to finish with the runners for our post-run coffee and snack.
The latest health order from the City of San Francisco harmonizes City rules for the most part with those put out by the CDC. Face masks for outdoor activities such as walking and running, both for those who have been vaccinated and those who have not been vaccinated are no longer required, even when passing others in transit on a path or the sidewalk. Face masks are still required when gathering outdoors for those who are not yet vaccinated where 6 foot social distancing cannot be followed. We still recommend face masks when interacting with our friends who work at the coffee shops and stores, such as those on 22nd, and for being inside indoor businesses like restaurants. Such rules appear to be subject to change soon, but we’d recommend erring on the side of caution and respect for your fellow humans; we’ve made it this far, a few more weeks of thoughtful mask-wearing is not much to ask.
