Action: Eating not Running

The previous post was from our articulate president Jay. I just want to amend that all credit for organizing our Emeryville run goes to Patrick! Patrick also took charge of ordering all the delicious food. And what a feast! For those unable to join us this time, we missed you but rumor has it we will do this again next time the stars align.

Dim Sum Saturday, March 30!

Thanks to everyone for coming out to Hong Kong East Ocean Seafood on the Emeryville shoreline on Saturday. The food was absolutely delicious! Thank you to Patrick and Anna for setting this up and taking charge of the ordering.

It was a beautiful day, with a stunning view of the Bay, SF, Treasure Island, Angel Island and both bridges. We are blessed to live here. All of the negative press about the Bay Area is just jealousy!

We will meet in Emeryville where we can eat at Hong Kong East Ocean Seafood Restaurant for celebratory dim sum after the run. We have a 10.11 mi course and a 5.39 mi course.

Full Course 10.11 mi with 191 ft elevation gain
We start from the parking lot of Hong Kong East Ocean Seafood Restaurant and run east on Marina Park Pathway. Veer north on Davenport Park Playground and keep to the pedestrian path along the Bay. Continue on Access Rd and turn left on W Frontage Rd. Turn left at Gilman St and take the pedestrian path north to Buchanan St; this marks the turn around point. Take the pedestrian path south to W Frontage Rd then turn left on Powell St. to the finish.

Short Course 5.39 mi with 71 ft elevation gain

We start from the parking lot of Hong Kong East Ocean Seafood Restaurant and run east on Marina Park Pathway. Veer north on Davenport Park Playground and keep to the pedestrian path along the Bay. Continue on Access Rd and turn left on W Frontage Rd. When you spot Snoopy and his Dog House on the left side of the bay, you have reached the turn around point. Turn back around south on W Frontage Rd then turn left on Powell St. to the finish.

Head north on La Playa St. and continue on MLK Dr. Past the Botanical Gardens, turn left on Lincoln Way. Turn right on Clayton St. and keep right on Twin Peaks Blvd. Continue onto Clarendon Ave. Make a left on Laguna Honda Blvd. then keep straight on Dewey Blvd. Keep right onto Taraval St. Turn right on Great Hwy to the finish.

Continue on Ortega St. Turn right on Great Hwy to the finish.
