Join us for our weekly long run and a special strength & flexibility training session Saturday, February 9 at Sports Basement on Bryant Street.

We will meet at Sports Basement at 8:00 for our usual run, and then convene at 10:00 am inside the store on the 5th floor. Angela Tieri, a good friend of the club and a local elite runner will lead us in a session on strength and flexibility. Please bring a mat and exercise bands if you have them. If you want to skip the run and just do the session, that’s fine, we’ll aim to be back in the building by 9:45. Feel free to bring along an interested partner or friend, we should have little extra room, and we always like having our friends and family around.

For the run, those running the Napa Half, this is (unfortunately) your last long run before the taper. Didn’t time this as well as I could have, did I? As a last long run, we’d suggest 13 to 15 miles, maybe even 17 if you’re looking to crush it. You might have to start early to get in the miles.

We’ll also have shorter runs of 5-6, 8 and 10.

A couple of us running the full are moving our last long run to Sunday, since we need 20-22. We’ll be starting at 7:00 am from Java Beach, if anyone is interested in joining the torture.
