Greetings fellow runners!

First, congratulations to club member Lisa Lawley, who ran the Berlin Marathon today! Way to go, Lisa!

Running with her today was Eliud Kipchonge, easily the best marathoner ever.

Today he attained a phenomenal achievement – a 2:01 marathon! And he beat the previous record by almost a minute, at a level when improvements are typically in increments of seconds. Check out the story in the Runner’s World link below.

Kipchoge has now won the Olympic gold, holds the official world record, and has the unofficial fastest time (the infamous Nike project last year).
