Join us at 8:00 am Saturday, May 20 for our Scavenger Run in Golden Gate Park. It’s great fun, there’s no charge, and we will have prizes for the top three finishers!
Meet us at the steps of the Conservatory of Flowers. We’ll form teams of 3 (or 4 if you want), and we’ll be happy to put people together in teams if you don’t have your own.
We’ll get a list of clues, items to find in Golden Gate Park, and then we take off running to find and collect them. We take a picture of the item on a cell phone, along with the team members, and send them back. The first team to collect all the items and return is the winner!
The items can include Park features such as a particular statue or a waterfall, or things you might encounter in a typical stroll through the Park. We’ll have a list of must-find items, and a few bonus items, too.
We’ll have two distances, one 3-4 miles and another that’s about 8 miles, so come prepared in running gear.
