“Corrigan Sports announce(d) the creation of the Foster City 10-Miler/5k to take place on Sunday, January 12 at 8:30 am at Leo Ryan Park. This will be the first of a series of 10-milers/5k, CSE plans to launch around the Bay Area in the coming year.
“Based on the success of the Oakland Running Festival, we decided it was time to expand our reach and put on more running events in the Bay Area,” stated CSE President Lee Corrigan. “The waterfront views of Foster City will inspire runners and also get their new year off to a good start”
The Foster City 10-miler will begin and end at Leo Ryan Park with runners spending a good majority of the run taking in the views along San Francisco Bay. Each runner will receive a performance apparel shirt and complimentary beers after the event.
“Foster City is excited about our partnership with Corrigan Sports and welcomes runners to experience the community that is connected by parks and waterways.” stated Jennifer Liu, Recreation Manager of Foster City Parks and Recreation. “Leo Ryan Park provides a unique back drop for pre and post event activities.”
In addition, there will be live music, activities and food in the post race celebration village.
As an added bonus, runners who sign up before October 21st will save $10 off the 10-miler ($1 per day per mile) and $5 off the 5k.”
